Former Asante Kotoko management member Mr George Kennedy says he is delighted with the level of democracy displayed in the upcoming GFA presidential elections.

According him it is been keenly contested unlike what happened in the past where you could see the winner of the elections even before a vote is cast.

He is also cites the number of persons contesting as a relief as it never happened in the past during ex -president Nyantakyi's era where he was going unopposed with persons who declared their intentions to contest him been frustrated.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Akoma Fm, he said its a welcome relief and as such the candidates cannot take football people for granted as they have enumerated what they will do in their various manifestos.

"Am glad with the upcoming presidential elections because this time its been keenly contested unlike in previous times where you will never hear anyone coming out with a manifesto"

"It was not even competitive as you could see the winner even before the elections even in Nyantakyi's time he always went unopposed but its not so now"

"That means anyone who emerges as a winner cannot take football people for granted because there are manifestos out there telling the whole world what you will do so when you come you must fulfill your promises unlike previously when there was nothing like manifestos but people where winning elections" he said.
