Highlife musician, Kaakyire Kwame Fosu (KK Fosu), has said despite the fact that for over ten (10) years he has been struggling to get a hit song, he believes he is still relevant in the music industry.

Stating what has sustained his relevance in the music scene, K K Fosu disclosed that he never gets carried away when he is extolled by music bigwigs.

KK Fosu, who is from a family of singers said he put more seriousness on his work especially with his live band performances.

The ‘Anadwo Yede’ hitmaker told Eli Kharis, host of Rythmz Live on GHOne Tv, publicity is vital to staying relevant in the music industry.

“To stay relevant in the industry, you need to know your game and for me K K Fosu, I do understand my game so much. It doesn’t mean you should always drop tunes to stay relevant in the industry. My live band performances has kept me on top till this level and the young ones should learn from the experience musicians and shouldn’t be complacent that you’re on top. When you’re on top, you’re over pampered and if you’re not careful, you wouldn’t stand the test of time and be relevant like K K Fosu.

“For almost 10 years, I’ve not made any loud music out there but my name is very loud out there.” K K Fosu said.

The D-Styler recently landed a three to five year record deal with burgeoning record label, World Map Records, a division of World Map group of companies.

KK Fosu is celebrated for back to back hit songs like, “Sudwe”, “Alomo”, “Obaa Pa”, “Hemaa” and many more.
