Inaki Williams, the Black Stars forward for Athletic Bilbao, has shared his elation and anticipation over his mother's happiness following his standout performance in their recent Spanish La Liga clash against Getafe.

Williams, who netted two goals in the match, emphasized his mother's expected delight at his achievement.

His brace secured a decisive 2-0 victory for Bilbao, solidifying their fifth-place standing in the league.

Notably, both goals were assisted by Williams' brother, Nico, adding a familial touch to the team's success.

Speaking to Bilbao media post-match, Inaki expressed his contentment with the win, particularly in a game where two teammates received red cards.

“My mother will be overjoyed today. Today, Nico and I won't be quarreling in the locker room. I'm absolutely thrilled in the end.

We have a great understanding between us. Today, he set them up for me, and maybe in the next game, I'll return the favor,” he shared.

Inaki's double against Getafe brings his tally for the 2023-2024 La Liga season to 11 goals and three assists in 31 appearances.

Additionally, he contributed two goals and two assists in five Copa Del Rey matches, aiding Bilbao in clinching their first Copa Del Rey title in four decades.
