Ghanaian striker Inaki Williams scored for Athletic Club in an emotionally charged match that resumed after being suspended due to a tragic incident.

Originally scheduled for Sunday, December 10, the Spanish La Liga Round 16 game between Athletic Club and Granada CF was halted when a fan in the stands suffered a heart attack and sadly passed away.

After necessary consultations, the match resumed at Estadio Nuevo Carmenes. Inaki Williams' goal, scored before the tragic incident, still counted.

The emotional atmosphere, with shattered emotions among supporters and players, continued as the game restarted.

Inaki Williams found the back of the net in the first half of the match, but Athletic Club couldn't hold onto the lead. In the 55th minute, the team conceded an own goal by Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

Despite the tragic circumstances surrounding the match, Inaki Williams' goal contributed to Athletic Club's performance.

The Ghanaian striker now has 8 goals in the Spanish La Liga for the current season.
