Ghanaian defender Isaac Twum has helped his side IK Start gain promotion to the elite competition in the Norwegian league.

IK Start lost by 4-3 against Lillestrom at the Åråsen Stadion (Kjeller) but promotion had long been secured for IK Start .

The home side took an early lead in the second minute through Mikalsen in the second minute of the game before an own goal from Dave Lowe made the results safe.

Daniel Gustafsson took the game beyond the away side by clinching the third goal for Lillestrom before Melgalvis added the fourth goal.

Isaac Twum who came on in the 71st minute started a renaissance  by providing the assist for IK Start's first goal by hattrick star Ramsland.

Ramsland added a further two goals to make it 4-3 as his goals proved the catalyst for promotion as the first league of the play off  ended 2-1 in favour of IK Start.

After the legs IK Start gained promotion on the away goal rule as the aggregate scoreline was 5-5.

IK start won the first leg 2-1 at home before losing 4-3 to progress 5-5 on aggregate.

Twum made 27 appearances in the regular season before playing in the relegation play-offs.

IK Start are now back to the Elisterien league after just a season in the Norwegian First Division.
