Ghanaian forward Issah Abass has been branded the 'fastest man' in the Rhineland region of Germany by his club FSV Mainz 05.

The player has been serenaded with plaudits by his club who have been impressed with his pace during pre-season training.

Abass returned from a successful loan spell at Eredevisie side FC Utrecht where he highly impressed.

The 21 year old made 20 appearances in all competitions for FC Utrecht scoring five goals and providing two assists.

He will be a part of the Bundesliga sides squad heading into the 2020/2021 Bundesliga season which will kick off next month.

Issah Abass joined Mainz 05 from Slovenian side NK Olimpija Ljubljana in the summer of 2018.

The winger was a member of the Black Meteors squad that represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations held in Egypt.
