Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall credited the earlier attacking threats posed by teammate Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for causing problems for Birmingham City in their recent away win on Monday evening.

Nineteen-year-old Issahaku played a key role by providing two crucial assists, contributing to Leicester's 3-2 victory and solidifying their position at the top of the English Championship table.

In a post-game interview with Leicester’s media channel, Dewsbury-Hall expressed admiration for Issahaku's performance and that of two-goal hero Stephy Mavididi.

Dewsbury-Hall stated, “It’s a great ball by Abdul [Fatawu]… They (Mavididi and Fatawu) were very good tonight. From minute one, they were causing problems, and they got their rewards with their goal contributions tonight, so I’m very proud of them because they work hard."

He emphasized the duo's combination of great flair and hard work for the team, highlighting their significant contributions to Leicester's success.

Issahaku, currently on a season-long loan from Sporting CP in Portugal, has showcased his talent with two goals and five assists in 19 appearances in the English Championship.

His impressive performances are raising speculation about his potential inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2023 AFCON.
