With the arrival of Nana Yaw Amponsah at Kumasi Asante Kotoko, most persons were of the view that the culture of wholes player purchase would be a thing of the past.

It was a dawn of a new era but it appears the rain can never wash off the spots of a leopard as the mass exodus and mass entry is still ongoing at the Kumasi based club.

Since the arrival of Nana Yaw Amponsah, the club has signed eight new players with some more still waiting to enter the fray.

Aduana Stars striker and former Kotoko player Yahaya Mohammed has slammed his old club for their transfer policy as he says it creates a lot of pressure for players at the club as they now that they could be out of the door at any point.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi FM, the veteran striker says it is disturbing as even world class teams only do strategic purchases and not wholesale.

"It is very disturbing Asante Kotoko is signing all these players.Bayern Munich is a strong side without doing more signings, they only do strategic signings to fill holes."

"When clubs sign more players with a lot of the regular players leaving, what is means is that supporters and management must have patience for the coach and the players.

What is happening in Kotoko can be likened to purchasing foodstuffs from the market and finding it difficult to blend it into preparing a delicious meal. The team is an almost new team which will be difficult to have an immediate good performance."

"The management and the supporters must give the players time else sacking of players will be a routine exercise after every season. An example is Augustine Okrah who was sacked from the club after flopping in just a game against Hearts of Oak but today he has rejoined the club," he addded
