Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Mariano Barreto say that their win against Inter Allies was not exciting at all as the struggling side gave them a lot of problems.

He says the bottom club used their tall players and long balls to cause his side a lot of discomfort despite the win.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated the gritty basement club in an entertaining 3-2 game at the Dawu Park on Monday afternoon in their match day 29 clash.

Kotoko took the lead through pacy winger Emmanuel Gyamfi before Alex Aso drew the home side level but minutes later the much maligned Evans Adomako gave Kotoko the lead.

Andy Okpe drew the home side level in the second half before center back Andrews Appau gave Kotoko all the three points in the second half through a header.

Speaking during the post match presser he admitted Inter Allies posed a lot of problems for his side but they dealt with them very well.

“It wasn’t exciting. It was a very tough match. We knew the way Inter Allies play by using their tall players and putting in the long ball. Unfortunately we don’t have tall players but we needed to find a solution and we solved the problems."

League chasing Asante Kotoko will play host to Karela United in their next game at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
