Following their triumph at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Ivory Coast has soared ten places in the FIFA world rankings, while runners-up Nigeria have made a significant leap of 14 spots.

Despite their defeat in the final, the Super Eagles now sit at 28th globally, solidifying their position as the third-highest ranked team on the continent.

Meanwhile, Ivory Coast's victory has propelled them to 39th in the world rankings, marking their ascent after clinching their third Nations Cup title on home soil.

Among the standout performers from the tournament, Angola has witnessed the most substantial improvement, vaulting 24 places to 93rd following their impressive run to the quarter-finals in West Africa.

However, Tunisia and Algeria faced setbacks, dropping 13 spots each to 41st and 43rd, respectively, after exiting the tournament in the group stage.

Despite a premature exit in the last 16, Morocco maintains its status as Africa's top-ranked team, ascending one place to 12th in the global rankings. Senegal follows closely behind at 17th after their elimination at the same stage against the hosts.

At the pinnacle of the FIFA rankings, the top 10 positions remain unchanged, with Argentina, the reigning champions of the 2022 World Cup, retaining their top spot ahead of France and England.
