Former Ghana Premier League standout Jamal Deen Haruna has completed a transfer to FC Sogndal IL in the Norwegian first division.
The 24-year-old defender has inked a three-year deal with FC Sogndal IL after departing Raufoss IL in the Norwegian second division.
Haruna's journey began with Great Olympics FC in Ghana, where he featured in 27 matches during his debut season.
Last year, he moved to Raufoss IL and made 46 appearances across various competitions, establishing himself as a pivotal figure in their defense at Nammo Stadium.
During his time at Raufoss IL, Haruna faced FC Sogndal IL in three encounters, showcasing his early impact in the Norwegian OBOS-ligaen.
Known for his robust physique and defensive prowess, Haruna has also contributed offensively with two goals.
He joins FC Sogndal IL, currently positioned 6th in the league table with 23 points from 14 matches. With one game remaining in the first half of the season, Haruna's addition is expected to bolster the team further.
Haruna's football career commenced with the Tudu Mighty Jets academy team in Ghana before moving on to Wa All Stars and Olympics, both prominent clubs in Ghana's top-tier league.
