English-born Ghanaian forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi marked his 22nd birthday in impressive fashion, scoring twice to secure Sheffield United's 2-0 victory over Luton Town in the English Championship on Saturday.
On a day to remember at Bramall Lane, Rak-Sakyi opened the scoring just 12 minutes into the match, connecting perfectly with Anel Ahmedhodzic's lobbed pass to give Sheffield United an early lead.
He continued to shine in the second half, doubling the tally in the 52nd minute by slipping a low shot through the legs of Luton’s goalkeeper, Thomas Kaminski, effectively sealing the win for his team.
Rak-Sakyi was substituted after 66 minutes, having played a crucial role in the match with a standout performance.
The young forward joined Sheffield United on loan from Crystal Palace during the summer, seeking more regular playing time after finding it difficult to break into the first team at Palace.
Last season, he made a significant impact while on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he earned the Player of the Year award.
Now with two goals in seven league appearances, Rak-Sakyi is eager to make his mark at Sheffield United as they aim for promotion this season.
