Ghanaian striker Joe Dodoo says he has no regrets about his time with Scottish side Rangers despite been on the periphery of first team football for much of his Raangers career.

The Ghanaian came through the Leicester City academy was highly thought of at the Foxes and made his debut in August 2015  scoring a hat trick against Bury and providing an assist in a 4-1 win but decided to switch to the Gers in July 2016.

The 22 year old started his Rangers career by scoring five goals in 25 appearances and was then sent on loan to Charltin.

Dodoo hasn’t played a league game for Rangers in more than a year after his loan spell by Pedro Caixinha, and then kept in reserve by Graeme Murty.

But the striker insist the three year stint he spent at Rangers hass given him the winning mentality needed to progress in his footballing career.

“It’s (Rangers) has been really good. It is a demanding place and somewhere that you need to win,” said Dodoo.

“All the club’s I have been at, there has been pressure to win and it’s important to bring that mentality here.

“My personal target is to score and set up as many goals as possible and be a big influence on the training ground and on the pitch. Basically to achieve things and get the club back to where it wants to be.

“It’s important that I get a 40-game season under my belt. Every players wants to play every game and I’m no different.

"Most importantly, I want to win games and I know the players and manager here think the same."

The striker mutually terminated his four year Rangers contract signed in 2016 which had a year to expire and has since joined league one outfit Blackpool where he hopes the winning mentality gained at the Gers will propel him to greater heights.
