Newly elected General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP], John Boadu has finally broken his silence on allegations leveled against him regarding the death of Ms Stacy Offei Darko, a Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan (NEIP).
According to the former National Organizer of the ruling party, Ms. Stacy Offei was just a friend who had asked him to drop her off at the Obengfo Hospital to meet the CEO because she didn’t want to drive to the place.
“She is my friend and on that Friday before the unexpected happened, I joined her meet her friend who had returned from Germany. Initially she asked me to drop her at the Advanced Body Sculpt Centre for an appointment because she didn’t want to drive to the place,” he narrated.
Speaking in an interview on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme, Friday, John Boadu further explained that Ms Stacy Offei Darko later told him her appointment had been rescheduled to Monday, so he left for other assignments outside Accra.
“She later told me of changes in her appointment from Friday to Monday when I was ready to take her to the hospital, so I left them (Ms Stacy Offei Darko and her friend from Germany) and drove away for a meeting in the Brong Ahafo Region to meet the Regional Executives of my party and other party engagements,” he stated.
“I called her back but there was no answer to my calls until I missed a particular phone number’s call several times Wednesday morning around 1am, so I called back and it was her sister who broke the demise of her sister at the said hospital to me,” he painfully told UTV.
