Former Black Stars defender and Turkish Super Lig legend, John Boye, has lauded the performance of Ghanaian defender Alexander Djiku for his rapid adaptation at Fenerbahce.

Djiku, a 29-year-old French-born Ghanaian centre-back, has been a crucial asset for Fenerbahce since his arrival in the summer transfer window from Strasbourg.

Boye, who himself enjoyed a successful stint in the Turkish Super Lig, expressed admiration for Djiku's contributions to Fenerbahce's defense before his injury setback.

Djiku played a pivotal role in the team's impressive run of 18 successive wins, providing solidity at the back.

Boye commented on Djiku's abilities, stating, "Alexander Djiku is also a really good player. We played against each other in France. French football is different, if you played there you can play anywhere.

I'm very happy for him. I was very impressed with his performance at Fenerbahçe. I congratulate him, I hope he continues like this."

Having experienced the challenges and dynamics of Turkish football himself, Boye's acknowledgment of Djiku's adaptability and performance adds weight to the recognition of the Ghanaian defender's impact at Fenerbahce.

Djiku's presence is anticipated to be a key factor as Fenerbahce aims for continued success in the Turkish Super Lig.
