Goalkeeper's trainer for the Black Stars, Richard Olele Kingson has leapt to the defense of Black Stars number one goalkeeper during the African Cup of Nations Jojo Wollacot.

The Swindon Town goalkeeper has been blamed in some quarters for being responsible for Ghana's abysmal performance at the African Cup of Nations where Ghana exited at the group stages.

Ghana finished bottom of the group after losing to Morocco, Comoros and drawing 1-1 with Gabon in an underwhelming performance.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Precise FM, the former Black Stars goalkeeper absolved Jojo Wollacot of any blame at the African Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

"Personally I know Jojo Wollacot is a very good goalkeeper and I can also throw a question to the public that they should watch the matches very well and they will realize he did not make any mistake in all the three goals he conceded."

"The public also have their opinion and nothing to challenge about so we are just moving forward and hope for the best."

Ghana will next month play against Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup qualifier play offs.
