Black Stars goalkeeper, Jojo Wollacott has left  the team's camp and returned to London after falling ill.

Wollacot missed out on the AFCON qualifier against CAR on Sunday because he fell ill before the game. He left camp and is now recovering from the illness.

In his place long term understudy Lawrence Ati Zigi kept post for the Black Stars in the 1-1 drawn game.

Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus gave Ghana the lead before on the stroke of half  time Karl Nnamganda pulled parity for the minnows in the group E game.

The Bristol-born Ghanaian goalkeeper who plays for fourth tier English side Swindon Town made his Ghana debut on  9th  October, 2021  in a 2022 World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

Despite initial doubts about his capabilities, the goalkeeper seem to have convinced a lot of Ghanaians with his performance during the 2022 FIFA World Cup play offs against Nigeria.

He has been capped ten time by Ghana keeping four clean sheets and conceding eight goals.
