Jordan Ayew has been awarded a special honor by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for reaching his 100th international cap for the Black Stars.

The Crystal Palace forward received a golden boot from the GFA, becoming the third Ghanaian player to achieve this milestone.

Ayew made his debut for Ghana on September 5, 2010, against Swaziland. He scored his first and second international goals during a 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho.

The 32-year-old achieved his 100th cap during the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D’Ivoire, where he scored two goals in three matches against Mozambique.

Since then, he has made four more appearances for Ghana, playing against Nigeria, Uganda, Mali, and the Central African Republic.

Jordan Ayew has now moved to sixth place on Ghana's all-time top scorers chart.

He is pursuing the legendary goal scorers Abdul Razak, Tony Yeboah, Kwasi Owusu, Edward Acquah, and Ghana’s all-time top goal scorer Asamoah Gyan.
