Jordan Ayew delivered a stellar performance, netting his second international hat trick to lead the Black Stars to a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The match took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, propelling Ghana to the top of Group I.

The Crystal Palace forward was instrumental, scoring in the 6th, 60th, and 69th minutes, ensuring Ghana's crucial win in their fourth qualifying match.

Ayew's exceptional performance came at a vital time, highlighting his importance to the national team.

This hat trick marks Ayew's second for Ghana, his first being a memorable one in a pre-World Cup friendly against South Korea in 2014.

In that match, Ayew came on as a sixth-minute substitute for the injured Majeed Waris and quickly made an impact. He scored just five minutes later, converting a cross from his brother Andre Ayew.

Ayew then added a long-range effort in the 53rd minute and sealed his hat trick with a poacher's finish in the 89th minute.

Under Coach Otto Addo, the four-time African champions secured their second consecutive win, thanks to Ayew's leadership and goal-scoring prowess.

With seven goals in his last five appearances for the Black Stars, Ayew continues to prove his worth as one of the team's most experienced and dependable players.

Currently, Ayew is the leading scorer for Ghana in the qualifiers, with four goals to his name.

His recent hat trick not only solidifies his standing as a key player for the Black Stars but also boosts the team's morale and hopes for the upcoming World Cup.
