Jordan Ayew scores second goal of the season to help Aston Villa beat Reading

The Black Stars forward replaced Rudy Gestede and on the 77th minute with the game against Reading standing at 1-1 but the forward managed to win a penalty which he converted to earn his side all three points.
Jonathan Kodjia had put Aston Villa in the lead after 37 minutes but Yann Kermogrant put Reading level on 54 minutes.
Until Ayew’s late intervention, Villa were on the way to a ninth draw in the Championship. Instead, life in the Bruce revolution is looking up with a first win in 11 matches.
Jordan’s fellow Ghana international, Albert Adomah, was also in fantastic shape and grabbed an assist for himself.
The win pushed Aston Villa to 17th place on 14 points.
