Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil contributed an assist in KRC Genk's away victory over Union St. Gilloise in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League on Saturday.

KRC Genk secured a 2-0 win against Union St. Gilloise in their seventh match of the season, played at the Stade Joseph Marien.

Paintsil, who missed Ghana's final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Central African Republic due to injury, was in the starting lineup and played for 58 minutes.

He provided the assist for Andi Zeqiri's opening goal in the 17th minute. Matías Galarza added a late header from close range to seal the victory for KRC Genk.

Paintsil has yet to score in this season's Belgian Jupiler Pro League but has already recorded three assists in six games for KRC Genk.
