Black Stars forward Joseph Paintsil has shared insights on how his hamstring injury provided him with a valuable lesson, contributing to his impressive return to form with LA Galaxy.
After missing Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers in June due to the injury, Paintsil has been in stellar shape since resuming play.
His recent performances have been instrumental in LA Galaxy's rise to the top of the Western Conference table.
In a recent match against Portland Timbers, Paintsil showcased his abilities by scoring and providing a brace of assists, leading his team to a 3-2 victory.
Reflecting on his injury, Paintsil noted, "I think the injury taught me a little lesson.
It gave me the chance to relax because I was playing a lot of games, almost a half-season with Genk before continuing with LA Galaxy.
The rest has been beneficial; otherwise, my body might have been worn down and susceptible to more injuries.
I'm really good at the level I am now."
The pacy winger has made a significant impact in the MLS this season, scoring eight goals and delivering seven assists, demonstrating his continued value and fitness.
