Controversial former HIV/AIDS ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, has revealed why she was seen begging for alms on a train in Germany.

She was seen asking the passengers to make donations towards the construction of the government's proposed national cathedral.

However, in a new twist, Dzidzor said she was not begging actually for the money, neither was she shooting a movie.

Rather, she wanted to help in a national cause, because she is a concerned citizen.

“It’s not about money, I wasn’t really doing that for money. It’s not a movie either. I am only a concerned citizen.” Dzidzor reportedly said.

Dzidzor sparked controversies with the video of her begging for funds going viral on the internet.

Interestingly her action in the video has angered members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (members), and some government officials have called for her arrest.

One of them, Abronye DC, was asking for Dzidzor to be charged with fraud and causing financial loss to the state.

His demand comes on the heels of Dzidzor claiming she is HIV negative, after she had earlier said she had the virus and was assigned as an ambassador by the Ghana AIDS Commission under the late Atta-Mills-led NDC government, and enjoyed many benefits.

Clearly, Abronye DC was not happy that Dzidzor decided to mock the NPP in that manner.

Meanwhile, the former HIV ambassador has often been in the news for controversial reasons.

We earlier republished a report of her releasing some photos in which she was seen kissing John Dumelo.

Dzidzor also claimed in an earlier report that two powerful NDC men slept with her without protection and payment.
