Asante Kotoko have backtracked on their decision to pull out of the Tier 1 Special Competition after the Normalization Committee called their bluff in a statement yesterday.

The Porcupine Warriors protested vehemently against playing the semi-final at the Accra Sports Stadium in a one-off game, insisting it will offer their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak undue advantage.

Kotoko petitioned the governing body to play the semi-final clash over two legs but the NC simply refused to budge.

After a brief standoff, the Kumasi-based giants have finally decided to accept the conditions of the NC and go ahead with the game.

The two biggest clubs in Ghana will therefore lock horns in a mouthwatering encounter on June 16.
