Ghanaian veteran table tennis player Justice Ninson, caused upsets en route to the final to win the 7th edition of the National Veterans Tournament, which took place at the Seven Great Princes Academy in Dansoman, on the 27th of December, 2021.

His outstanding performance ensured that he beat three former champions to lift the trophy.
Showing glimpses of his heydays at Mfantsipim school, Ninson, who had previously reached the semi-finals of past editions of the Veterans Tournament, prevailed against former veteran champions Robert Hammond, Emmanuel Daitey and James Aryee.

His joy was obvious as he uttered these words;

*"It feels great to win the tournament especially when one had to beat three former winners to clinch the ultimate spot". Justice Ninson.*

*"Aside the ranking points accumulated for winning the tournament, it comes with prestige and respect."* Justice Ninson

An unexpected final it was for him as he was reluctant to participate because he was recuperating from ill-health.

*"It was not in my wildest expectations to win this tournament. I was actually reluctant to play because I was recuperating from sickness. I had been to the hospital on two occasions and I was not in the right frame of mind"*. Justice Ninson.

Speaking on his goals for the coming year, the current veteran champion proved to be zealous;

"I want to improve upon my gameplay so that I can maintain the top spot in subsequent tournaments, to book qualification to international veterans tournaments in the years ahead."* Justice Ninson.
