Ghanaian International Kevin Prince Boateng was on target for the first time for his new club AC Monza in the Italian Serie B.

His goal was not enough as AC Monza playing at home lost 2-1 to Chievo Verona on Saturday

The former Schalke 04 midfielder converted a first half penalty in the 29th minute to give AC Monza the lead at the Stadio Branteo.

It did not take long before the visitors equalized through striker Filip Dordevic in the 49th minute of the game.

The Serbian striker took matters into his owns hands as he got Chievo Verona the winner in the 64th minute of the game.

The two teams were reduced to 10 men each with Monza first being reduced to 10 men after  Antonini Barilla  twas shown the exit before Mattia Viviani  followed suit with seven minutes left to play.

It is Monza's first defeat this season after three draws in four games with a game in hand.
