Budding Ghanaian winger Kamal Sowah has sealed a loan move to Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar on transfer deadline day on Monday.

He joins the Dutch side from Belgian Jupiler Pro league side Club Brugge.

Sowah joined Club Brugge in the summer after starring at OH Leuven where he was a fan's favorite whiles on loan from English Premier League side Leicester City.

The promising winger started very well at Club Brugge but failed to settle as his form plummeted.

“I see AZ as the perfect step for me. The club made a good first impression and the ambition appeals to me," he told the club's official website after completing the move.

“I am an agile player and good on the ball. In addition, I am also a team player. I see myself as a winger, but I can play in several positions," he added as he spoke about his qualities.

“We have carefully looked at an offensive reinforcement. Kamal fits the profile we envisioned, with his speed and depth. In addition, it can be used in multiple positions.

With the addition of Kamal to our roster and the definitive transfer of Yusuf Barasi and Ernest Poku, we are ready to continue our chosen path in the second half of the season," said Alkmaar's Director of Football.
