Former Arsenal youth product, Emmanuel Frimpong says that Rennes forward Kamaldeen Sulemana can make a big difference for the Black Stars at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

For the first time in a long while Ghana will be playing at the AFCON without a household name like Asamoah Gyan although the likes of Andre Dede Ayew and Wakaso Mubarak are around but Frimpong believes the Rennes prodigy will be the difference maker for Ghana.

Since joining Rennes from Nordsjaelland in the summer, the winger has been in great form scoring four goals whiles making two assists so far.

He has been a revelation in the French Ligue 1 as his breathtaking skills and assists and goal scoring has been remarkable to say the least.

"I think Suleman Kamaldeen who plays for Rennes is a very good player and I think he is a player who can make the difference for Ghana," the ex-Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers star told GOAL.

Emmanuel Frimpong who has one cap for Ghana was forced into early retirement at the prime age of 27 years.

The Black Stars are in a group containing the likes of  Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.

Ghana is currently in Doha-Qatar preparing for the AFCON tournament and will play two friendly matches before departing for Cameroon on 7th January for the tournament.
