Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is on the verge of completing a transfer to Serie A side Atalanta after agreeing to cut short his holiday in Accra for a scheduled medical in Bergamo this Sunday.
Atalanta have reached a full agreement with English club Southampton for the 23-year-old winger, in a deal reportedly worth €17.5 million plus €4 million in performance-related add-ons.
The package also includes team-based bonuses and a 15% sell-on clause.
Sulemana is expected to sign a four-year contract, with an optional fifth year, as the Italian outfit looks to strengthen its attacking options for the upcoming Serie A and European campaigns.
The former FC Nordsjælland and Stade Rennais star joined Southampton in January 2023 for a club-record fee.
Although he scored only once in 26 Premier League appearances, his electric pace, agility, and technical flair left a lasting impression—particularly on Atalanta’s scouting department.
Now, Sulemana is poised to begin a new chapter in Italy, with hopes of reigniting his club career and reclaiming form ahead of Ghana’s key international fixtures.
