Kenyan Premier League side, AFC Leopards have terminated the contract of Ghanaian striker Eric Bekoe by mutual consent after failing to impress in the league.

The former Kotoko goal poacher was among five players that were released by the club after the conclusion of the first round of the campaign.

The others are former Gor Mahia midfielder Collins Okoth and Nigerian midfielder, Henry Uche. Completing the list is rookie striker Alfred 'Kemboi' Wekesa.

In a statement, the club wished the quartet best of luck after confirming that they had parted way on mutual consent.

"The club has released: Collins Okoth, Henry Uche, Eric Bekoe and Alfred Wekesa on a mutual consent. We thank them for their services to the club and wishing them all the best in their future endeavors,"
