Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng led the reconciliation process between players of his club Hertha Berlin and a fan group of the club east curve.

The fan group have been very critical of the players after their painful 4-1 defeat to Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga.

Boateng and Davie Selke led the team into the Curve before and after their last home game against Mainz.

Hertha's players had refused to go to the east curve for three games after the ultras had abused them after the derby defeat against Union (1: 4).

The last home game against Mainz was the first small step towards reconciliation. Before and after the game, both camps gave each other a lot of applause.

Coach Magath reveals: "The team discussed this internally, Prince played an important role in it." He and Davie Selke led the team into the curve.

Boateng : "Yes, that was the reconciliation. We wanted to make it clear to the fans that we are all one big family. No matter what happens. You argue in a family, you get mad at the other. After that you make up and love again.”

The Ghanaian has made 18 appearances for his side in the Bundesliga.
