Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is set to be rewarded with a new contract by his German Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin.

The 35 year old attacking midfielder rarely featured for his side due to niggling injuries and poor form but that changed with the emergence of Felix Magath.

Boateng  has started the last four matches for his side in the German Bundesliga having helped them avoid the drop.

The celebrated return had already been labeled as a costly mistake, but Kevin-Prince Boateng (35) got his big break with the return of Magath.

He is expected to extend his contract which will expire at  the end of the season by a year.

According to reports in the German media a rethink has taken place in the capital. Boateng, who has since been written off and who only played two games in the second half of the season before fireman Felix Magath (68) was hired, can now hope for another year in his hometown.
Born and raised in the German capital, Boateng began his career with Hertha and has since embarked on a nomadic career which has seen him play for more than a dozen clubs across the Premier League, Serie A, LaLiga, the Turkish Süper Lig and also represent Ghana at two World Cups.
