After they were rescued from their kidnappers by Ghanaian security operatives, a video of the pair of Canadian girls have now surfaced on social media.

A video on the Facebook page of state-owned Daily Graphic of the kidnapped Canadian girls in Kumasi getting on board an Air Force plane enroute to Accra.

We earlier reported that the pair of girls were rescued by national security operatives in Kumasi.

The foreign nationals were picked up amid gunshots as they alighted from an Uber car in front of their hostel in Kumasi.

A team of Canadian security experts later landed in Ghana to help with the rescue efforts.

A number of foreign governments with cordial relations with Ghana warned their citizens to be mindful of their personal security in Ghana. Australia, the UK and Canada were among the list.

It is not known if the rescued girls will be flown to their country immediately but it is not out of reason to speculate as such.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested four Nigerians after the rescue of the two Canadian nationals abducted in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

We understands that 14 people were involved in the abduction of the victims, an incident that occurred on June 4, 2019.
