One of the two Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) officers who was shot and killed last Wednesday along the Kasoa Budumburam stretch in the Central Region will be laid to rest today 30th August,2019.

Two officers Sergeant Peter Dzamesi and lance Corporal Awal Mohammed were shot and killed last Wednesday in their line of duty as MTTD officers when they ordered an unlicensed vehicle to stop but the occupants of the Toyota saloon car opened fire on them.

Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal will be laid to rest today in line with Islamic traditions.

A brother of lance corporal Mohammed Awal, Musah Sawaba has called for justice for his slain relative by bringing the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book.

Speaking in an interview with Accra based Citi fm, Musah Sawaba has demanded the IGP and the President of the land to expedite action so as to bring the culprits to book.

“He was killed in the cause of duty; he was serving Ghana I want the perpetrators of this act brought to book.

“That one is a special appeal to the IGP,to the Kasoa divisional police command and the President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo.” He pleaded.
