As part of its 2024 Rural Watch Project (KLOHERUWAP), the Kloma Hengme Association has made a significant contribution to education in Kroboland by donating 1,000 books, along with dozens of boxes and packs of pens, pencils, and mathematical sets, to school children in Yonguase in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

This effort reflects Kloma Hengme’s unwavering commitment to empowering Krobo’s youth by providing the tools they need to succeed academically. The donation aims to ease the financial burden on families while fostering a culture of learning and academic excellence in rural communities.

In addition to the learning materials, professionals from the association conducted a mentorship session, inspiring the students to dream big and work hard toward achieving their goals.

Madam Erica Neene Sackey, the head teacher of Anglican JHS in Odumase-Krobo, speaking on the topic ''The role of parents in children's education'', encouraged students to focus on their education and strive to become professionals in the future. She also urged parents to invest in their children's education, assuring them that they would ultimately reap the benefits of this investment. She said, "Focus on your education and aspire to be professionals. To parents, investing in your children's future today will yield rewarding results tomorrow."

Another speaker, Madam Gloria Dede Kwao, a professional counselor, advised young students to avoid negative vices that could harm them or hinder their progress toward achieving their dreams. She told the students that numerous opportunities await them, but the key to unlocking these opportunities lies in their studies. Therefore, she urged them to steer clear of negative influences, including boy-girl relationships, and focus on their education and talent development. She stated, "Opportunities are waiting for you, but the key to unlocking them lies in your studies. Stay focused, avoid negative vices, and invest in developing your talents."

She concluded by advising them to remain chaste and to avoid using their sexual organs for purposes not accepted of them as children.

The 2024 KLOHERUWAP program underscores the association’s dedication to building a brighter future for Kroboland, one student at a time.
