Kofi Okyere Darko, known in the showbiz scene as KOD, will stage a fashion show dubbed ‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra on Saturday, April 1.

According to the organisers, over 18 top fashion designers and musicians from Ghana and five other African countries have been invited to grace the event.

The event which is being organised to outdoor ace broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko’s NINETEEN57 collections will feature designers such as Ophelia Crossland, Velmas Accessories, Abrantie the Gentleman, Bon Collections, South Africa’s Palse Sa, New York-based Kenyan designer Narok and a host of others.

It will witness musical performances from Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Mzvee, M.anifest, Cina Soul, Efya, Akwaboa, Wutah, Praye, Godwin Strings from Nigeria, Kenyan songstress Habida and Faith B from Zimbabwe.

The event which forms part of activities lined up to celebrate Ghana’s 60th independence day will attract senior members of government, the diplomatic corps, members of the business community and showbiz personalities among others.

KOD has designed clothing for prominent personalities, including the late President Mills, former President Jerry John Rawlings, football icon Michael Essien, Emmanuel Adebayo, Stephen Appiah, Roland Agambire of RLG, Samini and a host of others.

‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ is brought to you in association with Emerge Ghana, uniBank, Kitkat, BF Soap, Think Mahogany. Media partners are EIB Network, Agoo Magazine, Ovation International Magazine, Glitz Magazine and DAILY GUIDE.

A ticket is going for GH¢300 regular and GH¢450 for couples. Tickets are on sale at Starr FM, Live FM, all branches of Vidae Café, X-Men East Legon, Sarah’s Fabric, Osu and Airport Shell.
