Yamoah Ponko, a strong advocate for the National Democratic Congress has said that the National Coordinator of the party's 2016 campaign, Kofi Adams needs to hanged for failing to ensure the party's victory.

He stated that the party's loss in the 2016 general elections were due to circumstances that could not be forgiven, and that Kofi Adams was to blame.

Speaking to the Kumasi-based Abusua FM, the maverick NDC supporter and former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu-Juaben named the campaign team of the party as the ones responsble for the party's loss.

"I laughed it off when I heard Kofi Adams saying he should be blamed for our defeat, he should stop irritating our ears; why should he accept the blame, why did he accept to be the National Campaign Coordinator when he knew that he was going to fail us? I mean why, it is an unforgivable sin. Andy Okrah and Kofi Adams need to be hanged for our defeat. They should have humbly rejected the offers when they were appointed. They have no excuse to give," he said.

He further stated that the defeat was a serious blow to them and said, "we are now going to feel the impact of our loss, our supporters are being vilified, killed, beaten everyday by New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters, watch the space, the harassment will be worst after the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is sworn in office."

The NDC were voted out of power last week in the 2016 general elections, with the major opposition the NPP winning the election with over a million votes ahead of the NDC and also winning majority of the parliamentary seats.
