A popular sympathizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Frank Kawaka Appiah, has claimed that the party’s Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, is unfit to take over from his boss, Johnson Asiedu Nketia.

Speaking on Okay FM, Appiah, also known as Appiah Stadium, stated that it is not too late for Anyidoho to pick the forms for the position of Deputy General Secretary.

He argued that Nketia, also known as General Mosquito, is one of the two people, who are actively promoting the cause of the party.

The other person, he disclosed, was Former President John Dramani Mahama.

He therefore argued that it will be wrong for the party’s delegates to vote for Anyidoho as General Secretary during the party’s congress on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

Appiah Stadium went on to say that a vote for Koku Anyidoho as the General Secretary of the NDC, will not bring any relief and enhance the chances of the party to reclaim power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“If you look at the NDC right now, the eagle head which is a symbol of the NDC and on top of the umbrella has been taken away by the former First Lady of the Republic, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

What is left is now being protected by the spirit of Johnson Asiedu Nketiah. So, if Allotey Jacobs says Johnson Asiedu Nketiah should go, let it be known to him that he should render unqualified to the party. In the run up to the 2016 general elections, he Allotey Jacobs contributed greatly to the loss of the NDC and President John Mahama.

Now, our only pillar is Johnson Asiedu, so if we are to let him go for Koku Anyidoho to take over, then it means we want to be in opposition forever”, he noted.

He added that the NDC is not ready for any try and error programme, and would therefore not compromise on their upcoming elections to vote for candidates who will not be able to win power them.
