David Ocloo, the assistant coach of Asante Kotoko, acknowledged the difficulty of their recent game against Berekum Chelsea, emphasizing the significance of securing all three points.

Asante Kotoko secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea on Monday evening in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 13, extending their winning streak to three in the league.

The decisive goal came in the 40th minute through Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala, who has been in exceptional form, scoring four goals in his last three games for the Reds in all competitions.

In a post-match interview on StarTimes, Coach David Ocloo commended the hard-fought nature of the win, highlighting the importance of clinching the three points.

He particularly praised Mukwala's outstanding performance, noting that the striker has been "on fire" in recent weeks.

"It's a hard fought win and the most important thing is we have gotten the three points.

Yes, Mukwala is on fire but we should have scored three in the first half but unfortunately we couldn't convert the obvious chances that came our away."

Ocloo expressed satisfaction with the victory but pointed out that Asante Kotoko missed opportunities to score more goals in the first half.

Despite the challenges, securing the win was the primary focus for the team.

Asante Kotoko is currently in the third position in the GPL standings with 19 points.

The team is set to face their arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak, in the next round of matches.

The upcoming clash promises to be a highly anticipated encounter between the two football giants in Ghana.
