Kumasi Asante Kotoko were given a friendly shock as lower tier side Benab FC  defeated them by 2-1 in a much played at Adako Jachie on Tuesday.

A last minute strike from Benab FC ensured the Porcupine warriors taste a defeat under Coach Mariono Barretto.

The encounter was to prepare Kotoko ahead of Ghana Premier League clash against Medeama Sporting Club at the Accra Sports Stadium this weekend.

Benab FC broke the deadlock in the sixth minute before Martin Antwi could restore parity for the Porcupines after the first half break.

Both teams resorting to managing the game to avoid conceding.

However it was Benab FC who   struck late to grab victory in astonishing fashion.

Kotoko will play host to Medeama on Sunday in their Matchday 21 encounter at the Obausi Len Clay stadium.
