Asante Kotoko forward Wisdom Fernando Bassey made a notable impact in the team's 1-0 win against Nsoatreman FC at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

The victory was marked by an energetic performance from the Porcupine Warriors, particularly from Elvis Kyei Baffour, who scored the decisive goal.

Bassey was substituted in for Kyei Baffour in the 64th minute, contributing to Kotoko's dominant performance that forced Nsoatreman into several costly mistakes at the back.

His lively presence on the field did not go unnoticed, with head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum expressing his appreciation for the Nigerian forward's impact in the match.

"The playing body and the technical team are all happy for Wisdom Bassey because he made an impact," Ogum stated after the game.

With this victory, Asante Kotoko solidified their position in the Ghana Premier League, currently sitting in second place with eight points after five matches.

The team is looking to build on this momentum as they aim for league success this season.
