Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday did not only win on the pitch by beating Etoile Sportive du Sahel as they also won at the gates.

The porcupine warriors printed 36,000 tickets for their African Champions league home fixture against the Tunisia and sold them all off grossing a staggering GHC653,000 awaiting statutory deductions like VAT, stadium user fee and others.

This was disclosed by the head of Administration and legal affairs of the club Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq.

"We grossed GHC653,000 in our game against Etoille and we are satisfied with it. We plead on the supporters to troop to the stadium always to help us accumulate much money for our away games.The gate fees are our source of revenue and we entreat them to always respond to our call." he said

Asante Kotoko moved a step closer to the Group stage of the CAF Champions League after defeating Etoile Sportive du Sahel on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors secured a comfortable 2-0 advantage in the first leg which was played at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The return leg will be played on 27 September, 2019 at the Stade Olympique de Sousse.
