Former Asante Kotoko management member,Mr George Kennedy says his former side needs a local coach who knows the local scene,Kotoko's history and philosophy.

He says football is the same everywhere but each country has its unique football culture as they expatriates struggle a lot to keep up with it.

According to him doing the Kotoko job depends a lot on loyalty and not money but most of these coaches are not aware.

They take delight in doing the Kotoko job because their bread will be buttered and nothing else.

Current Asante Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen has come under a lot of fire for his performance leading to the team been eliminated in the Caf Champions league against Etoile du Sahel in a match which most Kotoko fans thought with a good trainer they should have progressed.

George Kennedy himself a former Kotoko player and also management member thinks most of these expatriate trainers are bereft of the intricacies of handling Kotoko this he disclosed in an interview with Kumasi based Akoma Fm.

"If we get a local coach who knows the Kotoko history and philosophy it will be helpful than these expatriates coaches" he asserted.
