Former Ghana premier league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko have told seven players to seek their future elsewhere after a disappointing season.

Ghanaguardian.com has been informed that among the seven players is a goalkeeper as well as the supporters favorite and club legend whose contract at the club came to an end in the concluded campaign.

The others put on the transfer list are two midfielders, a defenders, and two forwards.

The Kumasi based club have notified the players of their release but are yet to do so in writing, ghanaguardian.com sources revealed.

However, the players are now looking to secure their clearance papers from Kotoko in a bid to move to other clubs,Ghanaguardian.com understands.

A handful of players also told ghanaguardian.com that the club owe them months' wages and several match bonuses.

The Porcupine warriors finished 5th place in the Ghana premier League (GhPL) with 46 points, 5 less than champions Wa All Stars.

Kumasi Asante Kokoko have won the GhPL title on 23 occasion.
