Legendary former Asante Kotoko player and coach, Malik Jabir has expressed his shock at the dismissal of Maxwell Konadu as the coach of the club.
Following Kotoko's dismal run of form in the Ghana Premier League and their shocking one nil defeat to Accra Great Olympics, the management have decided to call time on his second stint with the club.
The porcupine warriors have been piss poor this season in the Ghana Premier League struggling to put up any impressive performance.
Kotoko have in four games this season won one, drawn two and lost one with the general performance dire and painful to watch.
According to Malik Jabir in an interview with Ashh FM, the club should have given the coach some time before deciding on his fate.
"Everyone wasn't expecting this news of the sacking of Coach Maxwell Konadu
It's too early to take the decision to sack Maxwell Konadu"
"I didn't believe Kotoko will sack its coach. I was shocked when they sacked Maxwell"
He also says the management should have been patient with the massive recruitment exercise they did after the Manhyia ban.
We should've taken time to play at least ten matches before purchasing of players after Manhyia banned signing of players."
