Kumasi Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of former Black Stars goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda on a short term deal till the end of the current season.

The club have only two goalkeepers with the departure of Razak Abalora to Moldovan side Sherrif Tiraspol and needed another goalie.

Already Black Satellites goalie Danlad Ibrahim has made the number one slot his own with some eye catching displays with Kwame Baah his understudy but Dauda will act as cover for the duo.

Baah's contract will expire in the coming months and the club has failed to reach an agreement on an extension.

The club is expected to announce his signing in the coming days as the new addition to the club.

Fatau Dauda has been unattached since leaving Legon Cities ahead  of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.

The veteran has played for Okwahu United, AshGold, Enyimba,Orlando Pirates among several other clubs.

He has been capped 26 times for Ghana and was in goal for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup when Ghana faced Portugal in a group stage game.
