Asante Kotoko is gearing up to bounce back from their recent setback as they prepare to face Bibiani Gold Stars on Matchday 19 of the Ghana Premier League at Baba Yara Sports Stadium this Friday.

The Reds suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to bottom-placed Heart of Lions in their previous outing and are eager to secure all three points against Bibiani Gold Stars to bolster their chances of clinching the league title, currently held by leaders FC Samartex.

Currently occupying the 4th position in the League table with 29 points, Asante Kotoko has shown mixed form in their last five games, winning three, drawing one, and losing one.

However, their home record remains formidable, having suffered only one loss in eight home games, amassing 15 points with six goals scored and three conceded.

On the other hand, Bibiani Gold Stars displayed resilience in their recent match, rallying from behind to secure a 3-1 victory against Berekum Chelsea at DUN’S Park. With 21 points, they currently sit in the 13th position in the league table.

However, their away form has been less impressive, having won three and lost two of their last five games, accumulating a mere three points, scoring one goal, and conceding 11.

In their previous encounters at home against Bibiani Gold Stars, Asante Kotoko remained unbeaten. Notably, in the 2021/22 season, Asante Kotoko secured a commanding 5-0 victory, while they settled for a 1-1 draw in the 2022/23 season.

As they face off once again, Asante Kotoko will aim to maintain their unbeaten streak and secure vital points in their pursuit of league glory.
