Ghana Premier League table toppers Asante Kotoko have written to the Ghana Football Association to demand for reimbursement following the late postponement of their match day 29 clash with troubled Ashgold SC.

Kotoko were due to play the miners on Thursday but late Wednesday night the Ghana Football Association(GFA) postponed the match citing security reasons.

The reds who were already in Obuasi ahead of the game on Thursday have expressed their displeasure about the late postponement and called on the GFA to refund their monies wasted on the abortive game to them.

Kotoko is  also demanding that no other game is played in the Ghana Premier League until their match day 29 clash against the miners is honoured.

On Monday 16th May, 2022, the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) issued their verdict on the alleged match fixing scandal involving the miners and Inter Allies.

The two sides were found culpable of match fixing and match manipulation and were each demoted to Division Two effective the 2022/2023 season among several bans handed to officials and players of the two teams.
