Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Joseph Amoako has departed Ghana for Sweden in a bid to complete a transfer move to Helsingborgs IF.

The youngster will join the Scandinavian side on an initial loan deal from the Ghana Premier League leaders with an option to buy after the expiry of the temporary deal.

He joined the porcupine warriors on a three year contract from lower tier side Young Red Bull FC at the start of the 2021/2022 season following an impressive spell in the lower leagues.

The youngster started the season very well as he supplied four assists in the first five matches before his Kotoko career was curtailed by niggling injuries.

Amoako is regarded as one of the brightest young talents emerging from the country.
