As the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season approaches, Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has expressed confidence in his team's readiness for their opening match against Karela United.

The Porcupine Warriors are gearing up for the new season with a high level of enthusiasm and preparation.

The season kicks off this weekend, and Kotoko will travel to the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex to face Karela United on Sunday.

Antwi, a recent addition from Great Olympics, is optimistic about securing a win in their opener.

“The mood in camp is very positive. I can assure our fans that we are ready to grab the three points on Sunday against Karela United and that’s what we are looking forward to,” Antwi told the club’s media.

Antwi emphasized the quality and determination of the squad, saying, “We really have quality players and everybody wants to play.

Everybody is prepared to put up his best performance to secure maximum points and make our fans and coaches proud.”

Kotoko is aiming for a strong season following a sixth-place finish last year.

The club has undergone significant changes, parting ways with over 20 players and bringing in 13 new signings, including Antwi.

The team’s revamped lineup is expected to bring renewed energy and drive as they aim to improve their performance in the upcoming campaign.
